kings and kingdoms

I have seen some castles but never a kingdom. Call me crazy but for some reason I think of castles and kingdoms as being related. I don’t know if you have ever tried to imagine a kingdom...I find it difficult. The Castle of Versailles, Hogwarts and the castle that grows from a beam of light as walt disney unfolds at the bottom of the screen is what my brain tries to mush into a kingdom. None of those are good enough. I want something bigger yet not stuffy.              
 This all flooded my thoughts when the memory verse was Hebrews 4:11   Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need...(kings sit on thrones... kings have kingdoms...perfect sense...I know) scripture is telling me that I can come to THE throne not just a throne. And I know the throne doesn’t matter it is who is on the throne that makes it too good to be true. -these words weigh so much they don’t bounce around lightly in my head- I want to know more. I like to think about this Kingdom. The only Kingdom worth thinking about. The only Kingdom worth fighting for. Daniel 4 is one of my favorites. Nebuchadnezzr was the most powerful King in Babylonian history. The story is that he was prideful so God pretty much turned him into a bird for 7 years. Daniel 4:34 At the end of that time I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven, and my sanity was restored. Then I praised the Most High; I honored and glorified Him who lives forever: His dominion is an eternal dominion; His Kingdom endures from generation to generation. Nebuchadnezzar on fire for God’s Kingdom! His eyes were opened and he saw God as greater, eternal. Every-time I read it I remember my eyes have been opened. God gave me faith, He let me look to Heaven. I have been invited in, transported from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of light. Speechless.  
 And if my thought process hasn’t confused you enough, Thailand comes to mind. I was stalking the country online like normal and “Kingdom of Thailand” came up. So naturally I begin to blog and here we are. At the Thailand retreat we were told that Thais love their king. As this unseen world shakes within me I pray for the Thai people to praise and exalt and glorify the King of Heaven and for my own heart to beat for King Jesus and His glory. I am still in awe of God and His ways of providing for this trip. I am almost at $4,000. Amazing. Doubt likes to creep in for sneak attack on my faith so I reach for the sword of truth  Ephesians 3:20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us! The rest will come and so will The Kingdom.
